"During late summer 2008 I arranged a fund raising event for the group for which I'm a trustee - the National Concern for Healthcare Infections (NHCI).  I engaged the services of a local group, EXIT, and D.J. Chris Powers.  Chris was recommended by a friend and as soon as I met him I knew he was going to inject a lot of energy and humour into the proceedings.  He is extremely easy going and did his job very professionally making the evening move along perfectly so that everything we wanted to include - a raffle and a speech - were achieved in an extremely enjoyable fashion.  His choice of music was good (we had requested music from the 1960's as most of the audience were celebrating their 60th birthday this year or next).  He took requests and interacted well with us all.  He took time to understand what I told him about the group (NCHI) and made sufficient references to it throughout the night.  Overall he did a superb job and was willing to continue until everyone had had enough and had headed home.

60th Birthday Party, 14th August 2009

A few years ago I attended a 60th Birthday Party and I saw a DJ plying his trade ( I hadn't seen him before ) and he was FANTASTIC ! I remarked at that time that he would be perfect for our Golf Club socials ( Crompton and Royton Golf Club ) and I took his card . That man was Chris Powers . I since that day have booked Chris on many occasions for prestigious events such as Captains Night, New Years Eve etc. In 2004 I was President and when I was putting together my Night of all Nights there was only one person (and his music) ho I could depend on to make it a special occasion. This year I held my 60th Birthday Party at the Club and guess who it had to be to complete this wonderful night for me and my family and friends? You got it Chris Powers! His presentation is 1st class, Stylish Confident but Mellow when the occasion requires it. The sound of vinyl that takes you back to that golden era when we were young and impressionable. Chris's choice of musical styles is from a well chosen list of classics from the 50's 60's 70's including Soul and Motown ( my favourite era ). The sounds of Chris Powers are unique and exceptional as he tailors your requirements to give you the very best that you desire ensuring your enjoy the occasion to the full. Chris's passion for his music is self evident and his attention to detail ( for you and your evening ) makes him the Top Class performer you can totally depend on. Do you think I would have him back again soon? I think you have got it in one! Respect to the man and the music that is CHRIS POWERS.
